WELLINGTON, Florida, Feb. 9, 2024–Andrea Woodard and the nine-year-old Kaliber posted the pair’s second victory in the increasingly popular Lövsta Future Challenge Intermediate II at the Global Dressage Festival Friday.

Andrea and Kaliber coached by Israeli Oded Shimoni, scored 69.941% for the win but the pair qualified in the first week of the series for the final at the conclusion of the winter-long Global circuit.

Amanda Perkowski, based in Wellington and the American-bred Sonata MF, a nine-year-old Hanoverian mare, was runner-up on 69.559% and qualifies for the final.

Sonata (Sir Donnerhall I x Don Principe) was bred by Maryanna Haymon in Columbus, North Carolina.

Tina Konyot, who rode for the United States at the 2012 Olympics in London, placed third on J Everdale (Everdale x United) with 68.412% for third place to also qualify for the final.

Caroline Roffman of Wellington on the eight-year-old Libertee has also already qualified for the final to bring the total qualifiers to four so far.

The Lovsta Future Challenge allows horses to be competed in as many qualifiers as they want–with no entry fee this year in the Global’s centerpiece international arena.
