Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour Back on Top of World Rankings
Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour on Mount St. John Freestyle in Herning, Denmark last month in performances that helped boost her back to No. 1 in the world.

Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour is back on top of the world rankings, dethroning Justin Verboomen who was No. 1 for seven months.

Cathrine, after successful competitions on Mount St. John Freestyle in her homeland of Denmark in early March, moved back to the lead in the FEI (International Equestrian Federation) standings as of the end of last month.

Cathrine and the Hanoverian mare now 17 years old led the Danish team to silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics and bronze for the team and individual silver  performances at the 2025 European Championships.

Cathrine and Freestyle were at the top of the world rankings a year ago but were replaced first by Britain’s Charlotte “Lottie” Fry on Glamourdale then Justin of Belgium on Zonik Plus took over the lead seven months ago.

Justin slips back to No. 2 with Isabell Werth third and Charlotte Fry fourth.
