LE MANS, France, Feb. 9, 2024–Isabell Werth in her first competition on the Andreas Helgstrand horse Wendy de Fontaine, previously named Queenspark Wendy, dominated the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday.
Isabell and the 10-year-old Danish Warmblood mare were awarded 74.348% for the victory. Wendy was turned over to Isabell after Andreas Helgstrand was disqualified for a year after the airing on Danish television of a program showing training methods at the Helgstrand operation in Denmark.
Sweden’s Juliette Ramel on Gideon K.H., a 13-year-old KWPN gelding, posted a personal best 71.826% in only the pair’s third Big Tour competition.
Henri Ruoste of Finaldn and Quentano, 15-year-old Hanoverian gelding, placed third on 71.587%.
