MUNICH, Germany, May 27, 2022–Sweden’s Olympic and championship partnership of Therese Nilshagen and Dante Weltino OLD won the CDI5* Grand Prix Friday.
Therese and the 15-year-old Oldenburg stallion scored 75.261% for the victory in the seventh year of their Big Tour career. All five judges awarded first place to the pair that competed at the Tokyo Olympics, the 2018 World Equestrian Games and the last three European Championships, including team bronze in 2017 and 2019.
Germany’s Benjamin Werndl and Daily Mirror, 18-year-old Westfalen gelding, placed second on 74.261%.
Dorothy Schneider and Faustus, German team gold medalists at the 2021 European Championships, were third on 73.326%.
