MUNICH, Germany, May 28, 2022–Therese Nilshagen and Dante Weltino OLD won the CDI5* Grand Prix Special Saturday for the first Big Tour sweep by the Swedish Olympic and championship partnership in five years.

Therese and the 15-year-old Oldenburg stallion scored 75.979% for the win a day after capturing the Grand Prix. The pair that competed at the Tokyo Olympics, the 2018 World Equestrian Games and the last three European Championships, including team bronze in 2017 and 2019, are in the seventh year of their Big Tour career and a possible world championship start in two months.

Germany’s 2021 European Championships team gold medal pair of Helen Langehanenberg and Annabelle, 14-year-old Holsteiner mare, were second on 72.596%.

Sweden’s seven-time Olympian Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén and Devanto, 13-year-old Holsteiner gelding, were third on 71.447%.
