Heike Holstein is The Irish Field Dressage Rider of the Year for 2021 after completing her fourth Olympics with the first Irish-bred dressage horse at a Games for Ireland, her home-bred mare Sambuca.

Heike, 13-time Irish national champion, has won The Irish Field Dressage Rider of the Year award five times.

Louise Parkes and her husband, Tony, were presented with The Irish Field Special Recognition Award for the promotion of equestrian sport.  Journalist and broadcaster Louise Parkes is the equestrian correspondent of Ireland’s biggest-selling daily newspaper, The Irish Independent. Tokyo was her seventh Olympic Games.
