OCALA, Florida, Nov. 14, 2024–Jennifer Williams rode the 10-year-old Joppe K to a personal best score to win the World Equestrian Center CDI3* Grand Prix Thursday.
Jennifer, with bases in Roy, Washington and Wellington, Florida, scored 70.218% in qualifying the KWPN gelding for the Grand Prix Special and the pair’s first international competition since April.
Jennifer and Joppe K competed at Small Tour in Europe in 2021 at the same time she rode Millione on the U.S. Nations Cup team in Aachen, Germany and began international Grand Prix early last year.
Charlotte Jorst, based in Wellington, returned Atterupgaards Botticelli, 12-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding, to Big Tour for runner-up on 67.565%. The duo showed at CDI Grand Prix a year ago but dropped back to Small Tour for a successful Global Dressage Festival winter circuit in Wellington this year.
Karen Lipp of Ball Ground, Georgia also posted a personal best score of 67.478% on the 11-year-old Infinity to win the CDI3* Grand Prix to qualify for the Freestyle.
Jan Ebeling of Wellington on Jubi’s Tenacity, a 14-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding, placed second on 66.935%.
