Ariana Chia & P.R.E. Stallion Guateque Win Ocala CDI3* Grand Prix for Canadian Rider’s First Big Tour Victory

OCALA, Florida, May 23, 2024–Ariana Chia on her P.R.E. stallion Guateque won the World Equestrian Center’s CDI3* Grand Prix Thursday for the Canadian rider’s first Big Tour victory.

Ariana and the 14-year-old Guateque scored 68.869% for the win.

The pair began competing at CDI Grand Prix at  the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida in January this year.

However, Ariana competed as both a junior and young rider in the North American Championships 2008 through 2012, and rode her first CDI Grand Prix in 2017. She competed Fiderflame on Canada’s Nations Cup team at Wellington in 2023.

Fellow Canadian Naïma Moreira Laliberté on Inspire, 11-year-old KWPN stallion, was runner-up on 67.109%.

USA’s Chase Shipka of Wellington on  the 13-year-old KWPN gelding Gladstone Zee T was third on 65.717%.
