HICKSTEAD, England, May 11, 2024–Charlotte Dujardin and Alive and Kicking won the All England Dressage Festival CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday by a whopping margin in the pair’s first Big Tour musical performance.
Charlotte and the 10-year-old Westfalen mare that she owns with her coach, Carl Hester, and Ulrike Bachinger scored 82.350% for the victory. The British duo placed second on a personal best score to Charlotte on Imhotep in the Grand Prix.
Charlotte began competing Alive and Kicking two months ago and this was only their third CDI.
Caroline Chew of Singapore on Blue Hors Zatchmo, the 15-year-old Oldenburg stallion she began competing at Wellington’s 2023 Global Dressage Festival, was runner-up on 74.940%.
Britain’s Andrew Gould on Genie, 13-year-old KWPN stallion, was third on 74.345%.
