FONTAINEBLEAU, France, April 28, 2024–Charlotte “Lottie” Fry on Everdale won the CDI5* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday, recovering from the British rider’s tie for second in the Grand Prix a day earlier.
Lottie and the 15-year-old KWPN stallion that was her Tokyo Olympic bronze medal team mount and team silver at the 2021 European Championships were awarded 82.340% with four of the five judges placing the pair first.
Emmelie Scholtens of the Netherlands on Indian Rock, 11-year-old KWPN stallion who won the Grand Prix, was runner-up on 81.815%.
France’s Pauline Basquin on Sertorius de Rima Z, a 14-year-old Zangersheide gelding and who tied with Everdale for second in the Grand Prix, placed third in the freestyle.
