WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 15, 2024–Jane, the 10-year-old KWPN mare ridden by owner Alice Tarjan to 11 straight international victories, won the Lövsta Future Challenge Intermediate II Friday with trainer Marcus Orlob in the saddle.
Jane (Desperado x Metall) received a score of 70.343% in the national competition to clinch a start in the final of the event in two weeks to cap the winter-long Global Dressage Festival series for developing Grand Prix horses. Jane was placed first by all three international judges.
Alice, based in Florida in winter and New Jersey in summer, is known for discovering exceptional young horses that have included the U.S.-bred Serenade MF that she competed on U.S. Nations Cup teams in Europe. She sold Serenade last December to Jessica Howington.
