WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 25, 2024–Felicitas Hendricks rode her Drombush to a personal best score to win the Global Dressage Festival CDI4*Grand Prix Thursday to continue her early but increasingly successful Big Tour career.

Felicitas and the 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding were awarded 72.457% for the victory, the third straight Big Tour win since returning to Wellington for this year’s 12-week winter circuit.

The 23-year-old Felicitas and Drombusch, the European Under-25 Championships gold medal pair in 2023, received more than 20 marks of eight from the five-judge panel and her first nine–for the halt and reinback.

“He’s just getting better and better,” she said, “and I’m really glad that our scores are reflecting that. And the best thing about all of this is that there’s still room for improvement. I feel like the sky really is the limit for this horse, because he wants to do it, and I know he will.

“It makes me unbelievably happy that I can show him off like that, that I can show everyone that I’ve got such a happy horse underneath me who’s willing to give everything for me in the ring.”

Great Britain’s Susan Pape on Harmony’s V-Plus, a 10-year-old Oldenburg stallion was close behind on 72.413% for runner-up.

Caroline Darcourt of Sweden on the 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding Lord Django was third on 70.196%.

Jennifer Williams of Olympia, Washington on her 10-year-old KWPN gelding Joppe K won the CDI3* Grand Prix on 68.848%.
