ACHLEITEN, Austria, Aug. 4, 2023–Victoria Max-Theurer rode Abegglen FH NRW to victory in the CDI4* Grand Prix Friday for the fifth straight win for the Austrian partnership this year.
Victoria and the 13-year-old gelding, her 2021 European Championship mount, scored 73.456% for the win in the qualifier for the Freestyle and to remain undefeated in five starts so far this year.
Florian Bacher also of Austria on Fidertraum OLD, 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding, was runner-up on 71.304%.
Hungary’s Jazmin Yom Tov on Hexagon’s Grandville, 12-year-old Dutch gelding, placed third on 67.522%.
The CDI4* Grand Prix qualifier for the Special was won by Christian Schumach of Austria on Te Quiero SF, 12-year-old Holsteiner gelding, on a score of 70.674%.
Spain’s Pablo Gómez Molina on the 13-year-old PRE gelding Ulises de Ymas placed second on 69.152%.
