ST. MARGARETHEN, Austria, June 3, 2023–Christian Schumach and the Totilas son Te Quiero SF posted a personal best score to win the CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday to make it two-for-two here. Victoria Max-Theurer on Abegglen FH NRW captured the CDI3* Grand Prix Special.
The Austrian Olympic and 2021 European Championship partnership were awarded 77.130% for the musical performance victory. Christian and the 12-year-old Holsteiner gelding took the Grand Prix earlier.
Fellow Austrians Katharina Haas on Let It Be NRW, 13-year-old Westfalen mare, was runner-up on 73.585% with Bettina Kendlbacher and the 10-year-old Austrian Warmblood gelding Broadmoars Don Alfredo Awo placing third on 73.300%.
Victoria Max-Theurer on Abegglen captured the CDI3* Grand Prix Special on a score of 76.170% to complete the return of the partnership to competition after a break of more than a year. The pair earlier won the 3* Grand Prix.
Anna Kleindienst-Jilly and El Ganador, 14-year-old Rhinelander gelding, was runner-up on 66.894% with Austrian compatriot Martin Hauptmann on Don Frederico’s Wolkentänzer third on 66.617%.
