ST. MARGARETHEN, Austria, June 2, 2023–Victoria Max-Theurer and Abegglen FH NRW won the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday in the first competition for the Austrian European Championship partnership in 14 months.
Victoria and the 13-year-old Westfalen gelding scored 74.587% for the victory. The pair qualified but did not start at the Tokyo Olympics but two months later competed at the 2021 European Championships.
Austrian riders filled the top four places.
Anna Kleindienst-Jilly on El Ganador, 14-year-old Rhinelander gelding, was runner-up on 67.783%.
Martin Hauptmann on Don Frederico’s Wolkentänzer, 10-year-old Austrian Warmblood gelding, placed third on 66.283%.
