ORNAGO, Italy, Mar. 18, 2022–Jessica von Bredow-Werndl rode Ferdinand BB to a personal best score to win the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday in the first competition in six months.

Jessica, the Olympic and European Championship gold medalist, and the 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 75.217% to ease past the previous best for the German partnership of 75.152% set last August.

Switzerland’s Estelle Wettstein and Quaterboy, 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding, was runner-up on 70.652%.

Germany’s Matthias Alexander Rath on Foundation placed third on 70.478%.
