PARIS, Nov.29, 2020–The Organizing Committee of the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics has announced sharing of some venues to save money but equestrian sports, including modern pentathlon, will remain alone at the Château de Versailles.

Changes for some sports to share facilities were made as the coronavirus pandemic caused financial constraints compelling organizers to reduce costs.

Of the 32 Olympic sports, 24 will now be within six miles/10 km of the Olympic and Paralympic Village. All venues will be accessible by public transport.

The Palace of Versailles, the principal royal residence of France from 1682 until the start of the French Revolution in 1789 is about 12 miles/20 km southwest of the center of Paris.
