FRITZENS, Austria, June 30, 2019–Isabell Werth and Bella Rose won the Schindlhof CDI4* Grand Prix Special Sunday while fellow German Lisa Müller on Stand by Me was runner-up with a personal best score.

Isabell and the 15-year-old Westfalen mare scored 81.511% in the first CDI Grand Prix Special for the pair since the rider’s career high Special mark of 86.246% to win individual gold at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon last September.

Mistakes in the one-tempi changes and the centerline changes between pirouettes were costly but the victory extended their unbeaten string to 13 first places since returning to competition at this same event a year ago after an absence of 3 1/2 years.

Lisa Müller riding Stand by Me in the 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding’s sixth event since starting Big Tour in March set a new personal high of 77.106% to place second. The previous Special best for Lisa, 29 years old, and Stand by Me was 72.681% posted a month ago.

Ireland’s Judy Reynolds on Vancouver K placed third on 73.511%.
