HAGEN, Germany, May 20, 2022–Laura Tomlinson rode Fallatijn to a personal best score to win the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Friday and the first Big Tour victory for the British partnership. Stablemate Lara Butler on Kristjan also logged a personal best to place second.
Laura and the 12-year-old KWPN stallion scored 73.617% for the victory beginning the second year of international Grand Prix competition and less than three months to the world championships in Herning, Denmark.
Lara and Kristjan, a 17-year-old Oldenburg gelding was awarded 73.447% for runner-up.
Australia’s TokyoOlympic partnership of Mary Hanna and Calanta, 15-year-old KWPN mare, placed third on 72.340%, rounding out personal bests for the top three.
Norway’s Isabel Freese on Total Hope OLD that won the Grand Prix were fourth in the Special on 72.202%
