Germany’s Frederic Wandres on Verrenberg Wins Olomouc World Cup Freestyle, Takes Lead in Western Europe

OLOMOUC, Czech Republic, May 23, 2026–Frederic Wandres of Germany on Verrenberg won the World Cup Freestyle Saturday to take the early lead in Western Europe’s qualifying standings for the Final in Sweden next March.

Frederic and the 10-year-old Oldenburg gelding were awarded 73.145% for the win in the pair’s first qualifier of the current circuit. Frederic and Verrenberg have competed in both Florida and Europe in their year at Big Tour.

Austria’s Peter Gmoser on Dante’s Daiquiri, 12-year-old Hanoverian mare, was runner-up on 71.495%.
