Jordi Domingo Coll, an Olympic and European Championship rider for Spain, has been appointed dressage technical advisor for Canada.

In the role, Equestrian Canada said, “Jordi will lead the strategic direction of Canada’s dressage high-performance program. His mandate includes guiding athlete and horse development, supporting performance planning, advising on team selection processes and fostering a cohesive, transparent, and accountable high-performance culture.”

The 44-year-old, the federation said, will help Canada develop high performance dressage toward the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and the 2032 Brisbane Games.

Jordo, it said, “has built a distinguished career as both a coach and trainer, successfully developing and producing multiple horses from the young horse stages through to international Grand Prix competition.

“This dual perspective provides him with a comprehensive and practical understanding of the full performance pathway, encompassing long-term horse development, athlete progression, and the demands of championship preparation. His experience positions him to effectively support combinations with a clear focus on sustainable success and excellence at the highest level of the sport.

“I am honored and excited to join Equestrian Canada in this role and to be part of a team with great potential,” Jordi said. “My focus is on building a pathway that supports athletes and horses, aiming for consistent progression towards international success. I look forward working together with riders, owners, coaches and support teams to create a strong, transparent high-performance environment.”
