Belgium’s Tommie Visser & Karma Begijnhoeve Win Lier CDI3* Special, Canada’s Chris Von Martels 2nd

LIER, Belgium, May 22, 2026–Belgium’s Tommie Visser in the Big Tour debut of Karma Begijnhoeve won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Friday a fraction ahead of a personal best by Canada’s Chris von Martels on Londoncrown.

Tommie and the 11-year-old Dutch-bred mare scored 69.830% for the win a day after placing third in the Grand Prix.

Chris von Martels, a two-time Olympian for Canada, rode the Hanoverian mare to a score of 69.681% for runner-up. This was the best European finish for the pair in the second season Chris has competed Londoncrown on the continent and ahead of the World Championships in Aachen, Germany less than three months away.

Holland’s Marieke van der Putten on Torveslettens Titanmium RS2, 14-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding, claimed victory in the CDI3* Freestyle on 76.760%.

Fellow Dutch rider Marsja Dijkman on the 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding Beaujolais placed second on 75.850%.
