Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour on Mount St. John Freestyle Wins Herning CDI5* Freestyle, Isabell Werth on Wendy Break 90%

HERNING, Denmark, Mar. 7, 2026–Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour on Mount St. John Freestyle narrowly winning the CDI5* Freestyle Saturday with Isabell Werth on Wendy de Fontaine breaking the 90% barrier for the first time for runner-up.

Cathrine and the 17-year-old mare scored 90.465% for the win a day after capturing the Grand Prix on a personal best 83.369% before a home crowd.

Isabell, the German superstar, on her Olympic partner, the 12-year-old Danish-bred Wendy, earned 90.080%, the first time the partnership of two years has cracked the 90% mark. The duo scored 81.913%, also a personal best, in placing second in the Grand Prix Friday.

Norway’s Isabel Freese on Total Hope OLD was awarded 81.885% for their musical performance to place third as the pair did in the Grand Prix.

Cathrine and Freestyle received all maximum marks of 10 for music and interpretation, four 10s for choreography, three 10s for degree of difficulty and two for harmony between horse and rider.

Three of the five judges marked Isabell and Wendy above 90%.

The judges were unanimous in awarding Isabell 10s for both music and interpretation and for choreography.
