
LIER, Belgium, Mar. 1, 2026–Katharina Hemmer and Denoix PCH won the CDI4* Grand Prix Special Sunday to complete a double victory on the German team pair’s return to for international competition after a six-month break.
Katharina and the 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding were awarded 75.596% for the Special win, a day after capturing the Grand Prix to lead a German sweep of the top five places.
The rider and the horse owned by Nancy Gooding of PLum Creek Farm in Larkspur, Colorado competed on the 2025 European Championship gold medal team last August before this weekend’s event as early preparation for the World Championship at home in Aachen, Germany in August.
Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier on Valencia AS, 15-year-old Westfalen mare, was second on 70.298% with Lisa Müller on the 13-year-old gelding Gut Wettlkam’s Zonik Hit OLD third on 69.787%.
Larissa Pauluis on Flambeau won the Grand Prix Freestyle with a score of 79.825%. The duo competed at two Olympics and were teammates with Belgium’s world No. 1 Justin Verboomen on Zonik Plus at last year’s Europeans.
The Netherlands’ Marieke van der Putten on the 11-year-old stallion Kuvasz RS2 was runner-up on 78.945%.
