WELLINGTON, Florida, Feb. 27, 2026–Sweden’s seven-time Olympian Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén on Hyatt won the CDI4* Global Dressage Festival Grand Prix Freestyle Friday night while Jennifer Williams on Joppe K captured the Grand Prix Special.
Tinne and the 14-year-old Hyatt scored 78.000% in the night-time competition under lights for their first victory in exactly a year at this same show grounds in Palm Beach where she has been a competitor since 2011.
A year ago, Tinne said, “I didn’t dare to take her out on a Friday night because she’s really highly motivated and very awake. So I didn’t want to do that and over the year I thought it would work and I took her out to the five star and she got really excited.
“But today she was super. So I’m so happy that we could continue and now it feels like she enjoys it.”
The music was that composed for Don Auriello that Tinne rode in both the 2012 and 2016 Olympics She is aiming Hyatt for the Swedish team at the World Championships in Aachen, Germany in August.
Michael Klimke of Germany, another long time competitor in Wellington, rode the U.S.-owned 12-year-old Harmony’s Fado to runner-up on 74.770%, with only three combinations in the Freestyle.
Jennifer Williams, based in Wellington, on the 12-year-old Joppe K won the CDI4* Grand Prix Special on 70.128%. The competition was also staged under lights ahead of the musical performances.
The pair have competed on U.S. teams in Nations Cups in both Wellington and Aachen.
Ashley Holzer also of Wellington on the 14-year-old British-bred Hawtins San Floriana placed second on 69.192%.
