DEVON, Pennsylvania, Sept. 27, 2025–Benjamin Ebeling rode Bellena to victory in the Devon World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday night, the first North American qualifying competition leading to the Final in Fort Worth, Texas next April.

Ben and 15-year-old Hanoverian mare scored 77.655% to edge past Kevin Kohmann on the 16-year-old gelding Dünensee on 77.005% looking to make his third straight championship Final. Ben won the Grand Prix Friday night.

Both Ben, who earned 20 points for the win, and Kevin, getting 17 points, are based in Wellington, Florida.

The 25-year-old Ben competed Indeed in the 2024 Final in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia that was his first senior championship.

Meagan Davis of Loxahatchee, neighboring Wellington, placed third on Toronto Lightfoot on 73.315% for 15 points.

The next World Cup event on the path for three North Americans to make it to the Final in Fort Worth is scheduled for TerraNova near Sarasota, Florida Oct. 16-19.

The top three scores of horse and rider combinations from the 10 qualifiers in North America count toward the standings.

Standings for the US Open, the $250,000 competition that has two more qualifiers for the final in Thermal, California in mid-November led few changes.

Anna Marek of the Ocala area community of Dunnellen and Fire Fly placed fourth on 72.790% in the Freestyle but remain atop the Open standings with 105 points.

Eline Eckroth of Ocala on Daphne was sixth on 69.755% and is tied with Kristina Harrison-Antell of Los Angeles on 86 points.

Benjamin Ebeling with the latest result now has 77 points and moves into a tie for sixth.

The two remaining competitions are at TerraNova Oct. 16-19 and at Tryon in North Carolina a week later.

Anna Marek on her 2024 World Cup Final mount Fayvel, 15-year-old KWPN gelding, won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special on 68.851%

Tina Konyot on Grover, who had won the Grand Prix a day earlier, was runner-up on 67.021%.
