TEMECULA, California, May 3, 2025–Geñay Vaughn won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday night to claim a double victory at this Pacific Coast competition and likely start in $250,000 US Open in her home state of California in November.

Geñay of Elk Grove, California and the 14-year-old KWPN gelding scored 74.040% for the win, a day after capturing the Grand Prix.

This was the eighth straight victory in California for the rider who last month competed at the World Cup Final in Switzerland, Geñay’s first senior championship.

Günter Seidel, the three-time Olympic team medalist for the U.S., on the 13-year-old Rhinelander gelding Jack was runner-up on  placed third on a personal best 73.510% that was also the first result above 70%..

Kristina Harrison-Antell of Los Angeles and her 15-year-old Dutch gelding Finley placed third on 72.715% and earned enough points to move into second place in the US Open standings.
