BASEL, Switzerland, April 4, 2025–Charlotte “Lottie” Fry of Great Britain on Glamourdale captured the World Cup Grand Prix Friday with the Freestyle to decide the title scheduled for Saturday in Basel, Switzerland.
Lottie and the 14-year-old Dutch-bred stallion, the reigning world champions as well as European Championship gold medal partnership, were awarded 77.152% for the win.
Isabell Werth, the most successful equestrian in Olympic history in her 26th World Cup Final, riding DSP Quantaz, a 15-year-old gelding, scored 74.848% as runner-up in the lineup of 17 horse and rider combinations.
Norway’s Isabel Freese on the 13-year-old Totilas stallion Total Hope OLD placed third on 74.413%.
Adrienne Lyle, a three-time Olympian on her Paris Games mount Helix scored 72.565% to place ninth and the top finish by the three American combinations.
Kevin Kohmann, based in Wellington, Florida as is Adrienne, rode Dünensee, the Hanoverian gelding he competed in the 2024 Final in Saudi Arabia, was 14th on 69.130%. Genay Vaughn of Elk Grove, California on Gino in her first senior championship received 62.978% for 17th place.
All 17 combinations scored at least 60% to qualify for the Freestyle and the World Cup title Saturday.
