WEST PALM BEACH, Florida, Jan. 17, 2025–Micaela Mabragaña of Argentina and Belatrix RH won the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday in only the second Big Tour outing for the partnership.
Micaela and the 13-year-old U.S.-bred Hanoverian mare were awarded 64.587% in the second CDI start for the pair that made their Big Tour debut in Devon, Pennsylvania in September.
Micaela competed in the 2015 and 2023 Pan American Games in her international career that began in the USA at the North American Youth Championships in 2007.
American team rider Charlotte Jorst based in Wellington and Atterupgaards Botticelli, 13-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding, was runner-up on 64.022%. Charlotte and Botticelli began CDI Grand Prix three months ago.
Canada’s Megan Shea making her CDI debut on the 19-year-old German Sport Horse Sir Schiwago placed third on 63.196%. The horse was previously ridden by Barbara Bertschinger of Switzerland on both sides of the Atlantic.
