WIESBADEN, Germany, May 18, 2024–Isabell Werth rode the 18-year-old Emilio to victory in the CDI4* Grand Prix Saturday for the 56th win in 95 Big Tour starts over the past decade.
Isabell and the Westfalen gelding scored 75.065% in rainy and chilly weather.
Isabell, the most decorated equestrian in Olympic history, has partnered with Emilio at top sport since 2015 but never in an international championship for Germany.
Ingrid Klimke, a teammate of Isabell, on First Class, 12-year-old Hanoverian mare, was runner-up on 70.891%.
Switzerland’s Andrina Suter on Fibonacci, 14-year-old Westfalen gelding, was third on a personal best 70.370%.
