AMSTERDAM, Jan. 27, 2024–Charlotte “Lottie” Fry rode her Olympic team medal mount Everdale to win the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday to earn enough points likely to earn an invitation to the Final in Saudi Arabia.
Lottie and the 15-year-old KWPN stallion were awarded 88.180% for the win a day after capturing the Grand Prix. This was the third successful qualifier for the British rider in the past several weeks that included a victory in Mechelen and second place in London the last weeks of 2023.
Germany’s Isabell Werth on DSP Quantaz, 14-year-old German Sport Horse gelding, was runner-up on 86.455%, the same position as in the Grand Prix.
Patrik Kittel of Sweden, remained atop the Western European standings, with a score of 84.905% on the Swedish Wamblood gelding Touchdown for third place.
The next qualifier in Western Europe is in Neumünster, Germany Feb. 15-18.
