WEST PALM BEACH, Florida, Jan. 19, 2024–Charlotte Jorst debuted Zhaplin Langholt at Big Tour to win the Gold Coast Dressage CDI3* Grand Prix Friday.
Charlotte of Reno, Nevada and the 11-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding were awarded 69.174% for the ride that was the first international competition for the duo in a year.
The pair earned a dozen marks of eight but the result was kept below a possible 70% by a mistake in the the one-tempi changes that received scores ranging from two to four.
“We’re still working on the changes,” Charlotte said after the ride, but was pleased with the overall performance.
She plans to compete Zhaplin in the Global Dressage Festival CDI4* in Wellington next week.
Charlotte was successful at Small Tour on Zhaplin, competing on the U.S. team at the Nations Cup in Wellington last year and at the World Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany in 2022.
