MYAKKA CITY, Florida, Oct. 21, 2023–Benjamin Ebeling on Indeed won the Terra Nova World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday to extend his lead in North America seeking to qualify for the Final next April. His father, Jan Ebeling on Jubi’s Tenacity, won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special.

Benjamin of Wellington and the 15-year-old Danish Warmblood mare were awarded 75.330% for the win. The combination won the World Cup at Devon, Pennsylvania three weeks ago so Saturday’s victory give the pair a total of 40 points toward seeking one of three places awarded to North America at the Final in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Kevin Kohmann, also of Wellington, rode Dünensee, 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding, to runner-up on a personal best 73.660%, enough to put them in second on the current North American rankings. The pair won the Grand Prix Friday.

With eight more World Cup qualifiers remaining–four in California and four in Florida–the next event is scheduled for Thermal, California Nov. 16-19.
