DEVON, Pennsylvania, Sept. 30, 2023–USA’s Benjamin Ebeling rides Indeed to victory Saturday in first North American qualifier for a start in the World Cup Final in Saudi Arabia next April.
Benjamin based in Wellington, Florida and the 15-year-old Danish Warmblood mare scored 77.325% for the win in the first of 10 qualifiers for North America to send three rider and horse combinations to the Final being held in Saudi Arabia for the first time.
Benjamin took over the ride from his father at the beginning of 2022 and has competed the mare on both sides of the Atlantic.
Canada’s Tanya Strasser-Shostak on Fidelis Tyme, 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding, posted a personal best 74.280% for runner-up.
Hope Cooper of Concord, Massachussetts and and the 17-year-old Hanoverian stallion Flynn PCH were awarded 74.115% for third place.
