Canada confirmed Tuesday the team of four dressage rider and horse combinations for the Pan American Games in Santiago Oct. 22-25.
The team comprises:
Beatrice Boucher, 25, and Summerwood’s Limei, 10-year-old Hanoverian mare competing at Small Tour, owned by Monica von Glahn
Mathilde Blais Tétreault, 31, and Fedor, 13-year-old KWPN gelding competing at Big Tour, owned by Laurence Blais Tétreault
Camille Carier Bergeron, 23, and Sound of Silence, 15-year-old Westfalen gelding competing at Big Tour, owned by Gilles Bergeron
Naima Moreiera Laliberté, 26, and Statesman, 16-year-old Hanoverian gelding competing at Big Tour, owned by KML Inc.
Alternates are Shannon Dueck with Angelika MW and Tanya Strasser-Shostak with Fidelis Tyme,
Canada, which won dressage team gold at the previous Pan Ams in 2019, is seeking to earn one of two spots available at these Games for a start at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The United States has already qualified for Paris.
