HAGEN, Germany, Sept. 23, 2023–Germany’s Bianca Nowag-Aulenbrock rode Florine OLD to a personal best score for the second day in row to win the CDI4* Grand Prix Special Sunday and the first international double victory in the 18-month partnership.

Bianca and the 11-year-old Oldenburg mare were awarded 75.660% for the win.  As a youth, the rider was on five German gold medal teams.

Christoph Koschel also of Germany and Eddieni, 14-year-old KWPN gelding, was runner-up on 72.341%

Lisa Müller on Gut Wettlkam’s D’avie FRH, 11-year-old Hanoverian stallion, was third on 71.659% to complete a German sweep of the top three places.

Sweden’s Patrik Kittel in his second CDI competition on the 13-year-old Westfalen gelding Galleria’s Bohemian, encountered difficulties in a piaffe and transition to collected walk, piaffe, passage that brought the pair down from challenging for the lead to finish on 70.553% for eighth place.

Bohemian was Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour’s mount on Danish teams at the Tokyo Olympics and the 2021 European Championships. The horse was sold to South Korea’s Dong Seon Kim who competed at Wellington, Florida’s Global Dressage Festival last winter but has since decided to sell his horses.
