BROMONT, Quebec, Sept. 1, 2023–Beatrice Boucher on Summerwood’s Limei won the CDI2* Prix St. Georges while Tanya Strasser-Shostak on Fidelis Tyme posted a personal best score to win the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday in the last international competition in Canada before selection of a team for the Pan American Games.

Beatrice and the 10-year-old Hanoverian mare scored 72.794% for the win, the fourth this year. The 25-year-old rider has been successful at North American Youth Championships as both Junior and Young Rider.

Shannon Dueck, based in Loxahatchee in south Florida on Angelika MW, eight-year-old Oldenburg mare, was runner-up on 71.176%.

Shannon competed at the 1999 Pan Ams, 2002 World Equestrian Games in Spain and the 2003 World Cup Final.

Lori Bell on Flirt, 15-year-old Oldenburg gelding, placed third on 70.686%.

Tanya Strasser-Shostak posted a personal best score of 67.304% on Fidelis Tyme to win the CDI3* Grand Prix.

The victory for Tanya and the 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding was the first victory in eight starts since beginning international Grand Prix in Florida in March.

Evi Strasser, her mother, was runner-up on the 16-year-old Hanoverian gelding Deja Vu Tyme on a score of 66.957%.

The top three placings by Canadians was rounded out by Jacqueline Brooks on Te Amo Q O S, 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding, placing third on 65.000%.

The Pan Ams will be staged in Santiago at the end of October, in which two nations can earn a start at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The United States has already claimed a Paris start.
