HAGEN, Germany, June 15, 2023–Jana Lang rode Baron to a personal best score to lead Germany to victory in the Future Champions Young Rider team competition Thursday. Denmark took silver and USA bronze.
With the top two scores counting, the team results were: 1. Germany 146.029%; 2. Denmark 145.049%; 3. USA 138.873%; 4. Belgium 133.285%; 5. Norway 131.275%.
Jana Lang and the 17-year-old KWPN gelding were awarded 75.196% for first place individually with Sophia Ludvigsen of Denmark on Blue Hors Elliott , a nine-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding, runner-up on 72.990%.
Christian Simonson, based in Wellington, Florida, was the top placed USA rider on the 12-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding Son of a Lady on 69.951%.
Christian also rode Zeaball Diawind in the individual Young Rider competition for fourth place on 70.735%.
