WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 18, 2023–Kerrigan Gluch rode the American-bred PRE Mejorano HGF to their first Big Tour victory Saturday in winning the Global Dressage Festival CDI3* Grand Prix Special.
Kerrigan of Ocala, Florida where Hampton Green Farm is now based and the 12-year-old gelding were awarded 68.872% for the victory.
Susan Dutta of Wellington on Don Design DC, 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding, was runner-up on 68.702%.
Dong Seon Kim of Korea in only his fourth CDI competition on the 13-year-old Galleria’s Bohemian placed third on 68.574%.
Kerrigan Gluch, originally from Michigan where Mejorano was bred by Hampton Green Farm, was initially ridden by Spain’s Jose Daniel Martin Dockx, including as a seven-year-old at the World Young Horse Championships. Kerrigan took over the ride three years ago.
She recently began training with former U.S. team rider Shelly Francis who is based in Ocala.
“He is an extraordinary horse,” Kerrigan said of Mejorano, “super talented in all aspects of the Grand Prix.”
