ADDINGTON, England, Mar 18, 2023–Annabella Pidgley rode Vamos Amigos to victory in the Grand Prix Freestyle in the pair’s debut CDI and Gio to win the Grand Prix Special.

The 18-year-old Annabella and Vamos Amigos, 11-year-old Westfalen gelding that was ridden by Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour for the world championships Danish team gold in Tokyo, was awarded 76.385% for the victory in the musical performance. The pair had placed third in their initial outing Friday.

On Gio, the 12 year-old KWPN gelding, Annabella scored 77.787% in only the third Big Tour competition since taking over the ride from Charlotte Dujardin. Charlotte competed the horse on the British team at the Tokyo Olympics and the 2021 European Championships.

Greece’s Theodora Livanos on Robinvale was runner-up in the Freestyle with Hayley Watson-Greaves on Rubins Nite third on 73.535%.

Great Britain’s Andrew Gould on Indigro was second in the Special on 72.872 and Gareth Hughes on Goldstrike L.E. third on 71.128%%.
