GOTHENBURG, Sweden, Feb. 24, 2023–Denmark’s Carina Cassøe Krüth and Heiline’s Danciera won the World Cup Grand Prix Friday on a personal best score with with Olympic team mate Nanna Skodborg Merrald on Blue Hors Zack runner-up.
Carina and the 12-year-old Danish Warmblood mare scored 78.217% for the win in only their second World Cup competition for this season heading to the Final in Omaha.
Nanna Skodborg Merrald on Blue Hors Zack was awarded 76.674 for runner-up, but the pair have already clinched an invitation to Omaha.
Germany’s Isabell Werth at the top of the Western European League rode DSP Quantaz to a score of 75.913% for third.
The Freestyle to decide points is scheduled for Saturday. Onlynly one other qualifier in Western Europe, ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, remains after this event.
