WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 25, 2023–The start lists for international dressage in Florida is living up to its description as a global circuit with German riders narrowing the gap with Canada for the second largest number of riders after the USA, and new riders from Singapore, Hong Kong and Turkey adding meaning to global at top sport.

Eleven of the 16 competitors in the CDI4*, for example, are from outside the U.S., five from European nations, one from South America and one from Singapore.

Mikala Munter’s father, Klaus, dies in Denmark Wednesday morning before Mikala was scheduled to compete Skyfall,a gift from him, at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida.

Up until Covid, Mikala’s parents sitited Wellington for a few months every year since the rider moved to Wellington in 2004.

“They loved going to the shows and they got to know so many of the horse show people over the years,” she said.

Mikala is going to Denmark next Monday.
