Glock’s Flirt, World Cup champion in 2016 ridden by Hans Peter Minderhoud of the Netherlands, has died at the age of 21, the Glock Performance Horse Center reported.
Flirt, a Swiss Warmblood that was a Florestan son, won the World Cup Final in Gothenburg, Sweden under Hans Peter.
Flirt, initially known as Flirt de Lully, was discovered by Glock at the age of nine when he won his first Grand Prix. Marcel Schoenmakers first competed Flirt at Big Tour before being taken over briefly by Austria’s Timna Valenta-Zach.
Hans Peter then rode Flirt in 2014, competed at the World Cup Final in Las Vegas in 2015 and claimed the title a year later.
