LILLESTRØM, Norway, Dec. 4, 2022–Denmark’s Charlotte Heering and Bufranco won the Norwegian Horse Festival CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday for the first double victory in six years of Big Tour competition.

Charlotte and the 16-year-old KWPN gelding were awarded 74.590% for the musical performance a day after capturing the Grand Prix.

Before this competition, Charlotte and Bufranco had posted one other victory–in the Freestyle at their debut Big Tour competition in May 2016. Since then, the duo competed on Denmark’s bronze medal team at the 2021 European Championships and in two Nations Cups.

Fellow Dane Joachim Thomsen and Aaroe’s Gandhi, 14-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding, scored 73.710% for runners-up, as they were in the Grand Prix.

Mads Hendeliowitz of Sweden and the Swedish Warmblood gelding Autograf Q were third on 71.835%.
