OCALA, Florida, Nov. 18, 2022–Sarah Tubman and First Apple won the Hampton Green Farm Grand Prix Freestyle at the World Equestrian Center Friday night, the fifth win in six starts since returning from a European summer competition circuit.

Sarah and the 12-year-old KWPN were awarded 75.665% for the musical performance under lights that was a recovery from a second place finish in the Grand Prix a day earlier.

Sarah, of Wellington, Florida and First Apple were individual and freestyle gold medalist at Small Tour at the 2019 Pan American Games.

In the first European competitions this summer, the duo placed second once and third twice in six starts followed by a string of victories since returning home including a World Cup event that ranks them third at this early stage of qualifying for the championship Final in Omaha. The championship based on the Freestyle is her primary goal for early next year.

Benjamin Ebeling also of Wellington and Indeed, a 14-year-old Danish Warmblood mare that he took over from his father at the beginning of this year, was runner-up on74.925%.

Anna Marek of Dunnellon on Fire Fly was third on 73.240% in their first performance of a new Freestyle for the 12-year-old KWPN gelding. The duo won the Grand Prix Thursday.

Emily Miles of La Cygne and Java Dulce won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special on 68.404% in the first Big Tour competition for the 11-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding (the pair won a 2* Grand Prix in Texas in April).

Mikala Münter of Wellington on Salsa Hit, 13-year-old British-bred Oldenburg gelding, was runner-up on 67.532%.

Chase Shipka and Gladstone Zee T was third on67.128%
