Iron, a five-year-old Oldenburg stallion that won Denmark’s young horse championships, has been sold to the Pidgley family to be developed to top sport by Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour and Annabella.

Iron (Ibiza x Hohenstein) was sold by Helgstrand Dressage that owned also owned the stallion.

Iron joins the Pidgley family lineup of top horses that includes–Vamos Amigos that Cathrine rode for Denmark to world championship team gold in August and Gio that was ridden by Charlotte Dujardin of Great Britain at the Tokyo Olympics and 2021 European Championships.

Annabella, 18 year-old, won individual silver and team bronze on Espe at this summer’s European Junior Championships.

Cathrine said that she and Annabella tried Iron and “from the first ride we were both completely in love with him. Infinite power, balance and rideability of the fantastic stallion. I feel extremely lucky that it is me who will be responsible for the further education, and I very much hope that together we will go on a long journey toward top sport. He is one of the best young horses that I have ridden.”
