TROISDORF, Germany, Oct. 9, 2022–Finland’s Emma Kanerva rode Greek Air to a personal best score Sunday to win the CDI4* Grand Prix Special and the first double victory.
Emma and the 11-year-old gelding were awarded 78.210% for the win two days after claiming the Grand Prix. Emma and Greek Air began their international career at the World Young Horse Championships in 2018 followed by the European Championships in 2021 and the world championships in August this year.
Lisa-Maria Klössinger of Germany and FBW Daktari, 17-year-old Baden-Württemberg gelding, placed second on 76.325%. Lisa-Maria has competed Daktari from Young Riders in 2014 including the European Championships and sweeping the inaugural European Under-25 championships three years later.
Belgium’s Domien Michiels and Intermezzo van het Meerdaalhof, 14-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, were third on 74.005%.
