SEGOVIA, Spain, July 8, 2022–Pedro Manuel Tavares De Almeida posted the first Big Tour win on Famous do Vouga in capturing the CDI3* Grand Prix on a personal best score Friday.
Brazil’s Olympic and world championship rider and the 12-year-old home-bred Lusitano gelding scored 70.522% for the pair’s first win in 14 months of Big Tour competition in Europe.
Alisa Glinka of Moldova and her 2022 World Cup Final mount Aachen, 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding, placed second on 68.435%.
Spain’s Juan de Dios Ramírez García and Quarlito von Nymphenburg, nine-year-old Hanoverian gelding, were third on 67.196.
