The world championships will be the first for both combinations:

The pair won gold at the 2019 Pan American Games and at two Nations Cup teams at Wellington, Florida as well as competing at the CDIO5* in Aachen last year. Naima moved to Europe after the winter-long Global Dressage Festival in Wellington to seek to represent Canada at the world championships held once every four years. Ryan and Sternenwanderer were also on Canada’s team at the Nations Cup in Aachen last September and have competed across Europe for more than a year.
