BRNO, Czech Republic, June 26, 2022–Estonia’s Grete Ayache rode Farao da Raia to a personal best score to win the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday while Moldova’s Alisa Glinka as runner-up on Aachen came close to clinching a second straight Final appearance.
Grete and the 12-year-old Lusitano gelding scored 74.985% for the win, a day after taking the Grand Prix and build the pair’s record to four straight victories this month. The pair competed at the 2019 European Championships.
Alisa Glinka and Aachen, an 11-year-old Oldenburg mare, were awarded 73.665% for runner-up and to remain atop the Central European standings with three previous victories. With the latest results, the duo’s points total to 77 in their campaign for a start at the World Cup Final in Omaha next April. Alisa competed in her first World Cup when she rode Aachen at the Leipzig Final in April this year.
Justina Vanagaite of Lithuania on Nabab, a nine-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, was third on 72.960%.
